Federally Employed Women Retirement Readiness Training

What Is Federally Employed Women (FEW)?

Federally Employed Women is an international, private non-profit organization “dedicated to promoting equality for women and addressing concerns of women in the Federal workforce.” FEW has spent the past 54 years advocating for and bringing opportunities for growth to women employed by the Federal Government, and furthering the anti-discrimination goals of the Federal Women’s Program and the Executive Order 11375, issued in 1968.

“Federally Employed Women works to end sex and gender discrimination, to encourage diversity for the inclusion and equity in the workplace, and for the advancement and professional growth of women in the federal service.” FEW Mission Statement

FEW’s annual National Training Program event aims to connect federally employed women with each other and with a multitude of opportunities for learning and development. Attendees will gain knowledge and skills to help them advance their careers and personal development, and will find support and advocacy via the organization’s many members and resources.

This promises to be a fun, engaging, and enlightening event. We look forward to meeting everyone, and contributing to the atmosphere of education and empowerment.

Retirement Planning Can Differ for Federal Employees

Careful planning when working toward financial security and stability in retirement is crucial for employees of the federal government, and should also include careful consideration of the specific challenges faced by women in this context.

Additionally, Federal employees often have access to unique retirement benefits, which means that their retirement planning will involve additional considerations.

It’s important to understand your benefits, your current financial picture, and your retirement needs and goals during the planning stages to help pave the way for a more enjoyable retirement.

If you’re looking for guidance in this area, we’d love to help! Let’s connect.
